Why trust FinArt
We don't sell credit cards. We calculate them.
FinArt earns ₹0 when you apply for a card. No issuer commissions, affiliate links, sponsored rankings or paid positions. Your result is calculated from your spending and each card's real terms — after caps, exclusions, fees, GST and realistic redemption value.
Free to use. No bank login, PAN or card number required.
The simplest trust test: what makes the platform money?
Some comparison services earn when you apply for or are approved for a card. That doesn't automatically make their pick wrong — but it creates a commercial incentive you deserve to see. FinArt removes that particular incentive.
| An application-funded comparison model | The FinArt model |
|---|---|
| May earn from a completed application, lead or approval. | Earns ₹0 from listing, ranking, clicks, leads, applications or approvals. |
| Different cards can be worth different amounts to the platform. | A card's commercial value to FinArt is not a ranking input. |
| A new application is a commercial success. | Keeping your card — or applying for nothing — can be the correct result. |
Commission doesn't prove another platform's recommendation is wrong. It creates a commercial incentive you should be able to see.
What FinArt does differently
Your ranking is not for sale.
Why it matters: No card can move up because it's more profitable for us to recommend. There are no Apply-Now buttons.
You see your effective return, not the headline rate.
Why it matters: We apply reward caps, exclusions, minimum transactions, annual fees, GST, fee waivers and realistic redemption before ranking — so you see the value likely to reach you.
Your existing card is allowed to win.
Why it matters: You avoid an unnecessary application, another annual fee and one more card to manage when your current card is already best.
The free tool gives the complete answer.
Why it matters: The ranking, caveats, assumptions and source links are all available — nothing is held back to sell you a consultation.
One consistent method — no forum homework.
Why it matters: You get a decision with reasons instead of reconciling dozens of conflicting opinions.
A calculator, not a billboard.
Why it matters: No third-party ads, sponsored cards or paid positions inside recommendations. Visibility can't be bought.
A headline percentage is not the return you keep
Illustrative example (not a real card): a card advertises 5% cashback, but cashback is capped at ₹500 a month and the annual fee is ₹999 plus GST. On ₹20,000 of eligible spend a month:
| Step | Calculation | Annual result |
|---|---|---|
| Headline reward | 5% × ₹20,000 × 12 | ₹12,000 |
| After the monthly cap | ₹500 × 12 | ₹6,000 |
| Annual fee incl. 18% GST | ₹999 × 1.18 | − ₹1,178.82 |
| Net annual value | ₹6,000 − ₹1,178.82 | ₹4,821.18 |
| Effective return | ₹4,821.18 / ₹2,40,000 | ≈ 2.0% |
5.0% advertised → 2.5% after the cap → ≈ 2.0% after the fee and GST. This is exactly the gap FinArt removes: we rank on the last number, not the first.
Don't take our word for it — check the calculation
For every supported card you can inspect the issuer sources, the caps, exclusions and fees, and any estimated point values used in your result. Change your spending and recalculate. If something looks wrong, report it directly from the card page.

So how does FinArt make money?
FinArt is funded by users who subscribe to our personal-finance app. The credit-card optimizer receives ₹0 from banks, card issuers or card networks — for listing, ranking, clicks, leads, applications or approvals.
Trust should come from being able to verify the calculation, not from a badge that says “trusted”.
What happens to your data
You can use the optimizer without creating an account or giving us a phone number. Your spending inputs are used only to compute your result — they are not stored in our card database, not shared with any bank, issuer or lead-generation partner, and never used to generate sales leads or fed to advertising networks. Analytics never contains your raw spending, income or card portfolio.
No bank login, PAN or card number is requested anywhere in the flow. Read the credit-card optimizer's terms & data use.
Where FinArt can still be wrong
A trustworthy calculator also tells you what it can't know. Card terms change. A merchant can be assigned an unexpected category code. Point value depends on how you redeem. Lounges, customer service and merchant acceptance are partly subjective. Eligibility and approval are decided only by the issuer. So we show estimates, assumptions, source dates and known caveats — not a guarantee.
First, the basics: rewards only matter if repayment is under control. If you don't normally clear the full amount due by the due date, interest charges can easily outweigh any card reward. Prioritise paying in full before optimising rewards.
Questions people ask
How does FinArt make money?
FinArt is funded by users who subscribe to its personal-finance app. The credit-card optimizer receives ₹0 from banks, issuers or card networks for listing, ranking, clicks, leads, applications or approvals.
Do banks or card issuers pay FinArt to rank higher?
No. Commercial value to FinArt is not an input to the ranking. A card cannot move up because it would be more profitable for us to recommend, and there is no paid placement.
Why are there no Apply-Now buttons?
We separate the recommendation from the transaction. Once you decide, you visit the issuer's official website yourself. That stops an application payout from ever becoming a ranking incentive.
Can FinArt recommend keeping my current card — or applying for nothing?
Yes. We compare a new card against the cards you already hold. Keeping an existing card, closing a poor-value one, or applying for nothing are all valid results when they fit your numbers best.
Do I need to register or give a phone number?
No. The optimizer gives you a complete result without an account, email or phone number, and there are no sales calls.
Will my inputs be shared with banks?
No. Your spending inputs are used only to compute your result. They are not stored in our card database, shared with any issuer or lead-generation partner, or sent to advertising networks, and analytics never contains your raw spend, income or card portfolio.
Where do the card facts come from?
From official issuer sources — product pages, MITC documents, reward-program terms and fee schedules. Every card page links its sources and shows the date its terms were last verified.
How are reward points valued?
Where an issuer does not publish a fixed rupee value, we apply a conservative redemption assumption and label that figure as an estimate on the card page, so you can see exactly what was assumed.
Does FinArt guarantee I'll be approved?
No. We can apply published eligibility filters, but only the issuer decides approval, your credit limit and the final terms.
Do you cover every credit card in India?
No — and we don't claim to. We track the cards most people actually consider across the major issuers, not every niche or discontinued card. If one you care about is missing, tell us from any card page and we'll look at adding it.
What can the calculation miss?
Temporary targeted offers, unpublished merchant coding, subjective factors like lounge or service quality, your approval odds, and your personal redemption preferences may not be fully captured. That's why we show estimates and caveats rather than guarantees.
What if a card term looks wrong?
Every card page has a “Report an inaccuracy” link. Confirmed corrections are logged and shipped through our card-data update process.
